Chalavara
Grama Panchayat

The Haritha Karma Sena is a team that actively leads sanitation and waste management initiatives in the Chalavara Grama Panchayat. They play a pivotal role in collecting non-biodegradable waste from households and establishments, sorting it correctly, and handing it over for recycling and scientific processing.

The team's activities include raising public awareness about the importance of source-level waste segregation, collecting non-biodegradable waste from homes and institutions at regular intervals, sorting the collected waste, and establishing appropriate systems for the transfer of recyclable materials.

The Haritha Karma Sena's operations help ensure clean homes, surroundings, and public spaces, while also curbing the tendency to litter and fostering greater public participation.
