The Panchayat takes initiatives to support the construction of houses for eligible land-owning families and to provide safe housing facilities, including flats, for landless beneficiaries.

Non-biodegradable waste is collected from households, segregated and channelled for appropriate processing and management through the Haritha Karma Sena.

Waste management initiatives include plastic shredding units, biogas plants and other environmentally responsible waste-processing systems.

The use of plastic is restricted during public programmes and events in accordance with the principles of the Green Protocol.
